A morning trip to Bassett and Grylls mine in Wendron. This is a very different location to the copper mines I visited near Porthtowan on the first trip as it was a tin mine. It's actually one of the mines that apparently wasn't completely exhausted and was shut due to financial mismanagement. Now it is well overgrown but still with quite of a lot of visible infrastructure.

This was trip was initiated by a discovery that specularite hematite seemed to conduct electricity indicating that it may be a semiconductor.
